Regardless of your background or professional work experience, this program can enhance your ability to connect in a deeper way. It is not a means to an end, but rather a technique that helps you to experience prayer on a deeper level. If the body were a machine, this program would prepare it to function at its highest level. The byproduct of this program called The Art of Moving Prayer results in improved balance, better blood pressure, less anxiety and depression and more energy. It is my intent to share with you these tools to keep you healthy so that you can continue to function and grow in Christ and thus allow His Holy Spirit to grow in you!

1. To ensure that individually we are doing everything possible to maintain a healthy temple for the Holy Spirit to dwell.
2. To be a resource for prayer in the community. For example, in disaster situations it would be good to have a team of ‘Moving Prayer’ folks to lead in times of need. (Not everyone is called to do this).
3. To lead others to Christ through The Art of Moving Prayer example.
4. To pray for constant healing for each other.
The Art of Moving Prayer and the Sign Chi Do technique is not intended to be used in the deaf community. The Art of Moving Prayer is a Christian-based relaxation exercise program. It is designed in a way that brings health benefit to the body, calmness to the mind and a strong awareness of the Holy Spirit dwelling within each one of us. The Art of Moving Prayer was developed by Dr. Anne Borik a medical physician and exercise physiologist and is unique in that it a) is intended to be educational, b) fulfill the basic need of personal development focusing on mind, body and spirit, c) literally make the scriptures come alive in movement.
The physical benefits of the Art of Moving Prayer program include muscle strengthening, balance and improved circulation. As a result, blood pressure is improved, diabetes is better controlled, digestion improves, muscle fatigue diminishes and concentration and memory suddenly are improved all as a result of increased circulation in the body. One additional benefit found includes decreased cortisol levels which helps kick start any weight loss program.
The emotional benefits of the Art of Moving Prayer program include stress management and relaxation. It provides a way of calming the mind and centering oneself in Christ and His teachings. By literally becoming one with the Scriptures and Gospel messages as the words are gestured in movement, the process of aligning the body with the mind begins to unfold with the message of Christ at its core. It has been found to be very effective in dealing with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and stress, stress, stress.
The spiritual benefits of this program are many. It is through the process of breathing (spiritus) that we become aware of His presence. The Art of Moving Prayer helps bring intention and substance to movement by using sign language gestures. It is through the sign gesture that we come to see the deeper meaning of words. In doing this, we will find that we memorize the words, scriptures, prayers and blessings in a way that we will never forget because both our mind and our muscles are engaged at the same time. The Art of Moving Prayer is truly a great tool to helps tie it all together.
