About Dr. Borik

Dr. Borik developed the Sign Chi Do program based on transformational discoveries about brain function. When her grandmother had a stroke several years ago, in order to aid her rehabilitation process, Dr. Anne studied and mapped the brain discovering that sign language gesture stimulates the brain in a different area than all other movement. She incorporated this technique of sign language gesture with movement, breathing and intentional prayer with her grandmother and the results were incredible. Her grandmother displayed improved range of motion, balance and an overall sense of wellbeing. It was a powerful way to pray.

Dr. Anne Borik studied Exercise Physiology and is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician.  She currently practices as a full time  Hospitalist in Gilbert Arizona.  Dr. Anne has an extensive history in the martial arts and was once ranked 3rd in the world in Women’s Black Belt Division.  She founded the Pittsburgh Karate School for the Blind and currently holds a third degree black belt in karate.  Dr. Anne is an Adjunct Professor at the Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Anne is grounded in her Christian faith and her family.  She resides in the Phoenix area with her most cherished little maltese.
