Energy drinks can be dangerous

I admitted a patient to the hospital today with persistant chest pain and palpitations due solely to energy drinks. He drank 3 cans in a short period of time and now is in a hospital bed because of it. Please avoid the high energy drinks because we do not know what is in them and be aware of what you put in your body.  Let me know if you ever had a bad experience with these drinks. They tend to cause blood vessels to constrict which can be very harmful to the body.

  1. Rob Oconnell says:

I drank the large redbull and a small one this afternoon… Iv been having chest since.
Initial bp was 158/96 with HR of 90… since then 2 hrs later BP 138/82 with HR of 84. The chest pain is still about the same even though Bp is closer to normal. Im pretty worried but I think Ill just stick it out and monitor. Needless to say, I think Im done with Redbull for good. Its scary!!

  2. Good day I enjoyed your article. I feel that it is vital when talking about diabetes to at least point out natural treatments that have been shown to be efficient in managing high blood sugar. Several natural herbs can be including in a diabetics routine that may help keep a wholesome sugar level.
