I am amazed at how many research studies show the health benefit of prayer and religious belief. I had a conversation at the hospital today with a collegue of mine and we concluded that prayer does infact increase the psychological resiliency among those managing chronic stress of diabetes. If you are a diabetic or know someone who is diabetic I would like your input on this topic. As a medical physician, I feel it is my job to speak out to the benefit of prayer and stop being afraid of talking about it in the workplace.

Wonderful, Dr. Borik! My gynecologist openly talks about prayer…even prayed with me before a recent surgical procedure! I so agree that more folks should stop being afraid of talking about prayer in the workplace…and in general!
